Lewiston-Auburn, Late spring 2006.

Thumbnails open the snaps in a new window. Close to return here.

Walking across the bridge from Auburn into Lewiston.
Looking north, you can see... stuff.

Western terminus of ME-196.
Approaching the junction on eastbound US 202.
Detail of the signage.
Note the JCT plate on the sign in the background.
Looking at the junction from the north sidewalk.
Southbound Lincoln Street, the beginning of ME-196 east.
"Androscoggin Gem" historical marker.
Facing Auburn and US 202 west.
SR 196 traffic is entering from the left
A look from the end of Lincoln Street at the Veterans Memorial Park.

Some snaps of the mill/water/rocks/dam/bridge from the park.

The traffic triangle.
A U-turn slip from Washington St to Rotory St.
This is the southern end of the 202/4/11/100 quadruplex, which continues into the background.
Minot Ave comes to the camera from the triangle's corner.
This is the beginning of ME-121 south.
Facing the other way, traffic entering ME-121 sees this.
This makes for a quintuplex (or is it a pentaplex?), if only signed in one direction...
Taking a left onto "Rotory St", we reach the END [121] sign.
Does this count as a wrong-way`plex? You be the judge!
That's a [TO] [136] trailblazer to the left of the car.

Old Farm Hill, a possible old route of ME-11/121

Two leftover pics.
Southbound on US-202 / ME-4/100 at Hackett Rd, a glorified U-turn ramp.
Southbound on the Maine Turnpike in Gray, looking at ME-26A, then under construction.
